Il Villaggio Piccolo

18 01 2007

This is a painting of one of the small villages I saw while traveling throughout the area of southern Tuscany. I am not even sure if it could be called a “village”. It was more a small grouping of houses plopped in the hillsides of the region called La Crete. The painting measures 24×30″.

Hi Jennifer,
I really like that you found such a beautiful “little” village for your painting. The flowers are outstanding in this one. Love the details with the softness. Also, liked the name of the previous posted painting “Silver and Gold”.

Marty,
Thanks so much for tuning in and thanks for the encouragement. I do love painting the Tuscany landscapes. It\’s sleeting here in Richmond today but painting these scenes takes me back to beautiful spring days in Tuscany filled with sunshine. Counting the days until I can make my next transatlantic journey!

Take care and happy New Year to you all down there in Texas!
