Probably no one could benefit from an oil painting workshop more than I. Me painting in oils is reminicent of picking flowers with a lawnmower. Richmond is beyond my confort zone. I was there once though. I have painted a couple more chickens. “That bird can dance” and “Mix equal parts chicken & not chicken”. Both in acrylic. I am trying one now in oil, and feathers are scattered all over the yard like random petals! One of my paintings has been chosen for a cover for a brochure for an artist’s studio tour in Dare County. Odd thing, I am not on the tour. I would have had to clean up this mess, and the lawnmower noise would be deafing. “..did you say something….?” “Little red beach cottage”.

Your work makes me want to take Eurostar again from Roma to Venice.

Sincerly,

Rick Nilson

Aw, Richmond is plenty comfy :-). Congrats on your art being featured on the brochure! I will say this for art walks; they force you to keep your place at least somewhat tidy….not that I don’t still do a lot of mad-dashing before each event ;-). One day I’ll get the hang of it I guess.

Thanks for your comments. (Sorry, no external links in the comment area.)
