Art in Bloom V this Thursday at Stir Crazy Cafe

7 04 2008

I don’t know how much time I’ll have to blog this week as I’m getting ready for a full workshop this weekend. But I did want to mention a fun local art event on Thursday night. Please join us and bring a friend to the 5th Annual Art In Bloom at Stir Crazy. This show will include a few  of my plein air paintings of the Richmond area, plus lots of other great art from over a dozen local artists. Proceeds from art sales support Children’s Miracle Network-Richmond. It is always a great time and it is for a good cause.

Drop by for a few minutes after work or make an evening of it; the event will run from 6 - 9 p.m this Thursday evening.

When: Thursday, April 10, 6:00PM
Location: Stir Crazy Cafe, 4015 MacArthur Avenue, Richmond, VA 23227

jennifer,

You have ruined me. its 70+ outside. I want an easel to paint outside. Plein Air or no. I want a portable easel. I’m just sittin’ here waitin’ for that prom dress to magically appear. It ain’t happened yet. You made a mark. I told you about the technical writing stuff. My son Tyler landed a hand model assignment with Sharpie pens. He is David Beckem’s hands. I told him not to go to Californina.

Rick,
Unfortunately I no longer have my “spare” pochade box to sell you for a steal, a painting, or any other thing. I gave mine to my talented niece when I found out she was trying to lug around her El Greco-like monster. Looks like Jerry’s has the same pochade model though for a decent price ($129 as of today) , so go out and get that prom dress. Set yourself up on Beach Road and get ready to take commission orders. Tell Tyler congrats and warn him to stay away from “low talkers” and flying hot irons.

Thanks for your comments. (Sorry, no external links in the comment area.)
