Hatteras Pier

3 09 2008

It’s been absolutely beautiful here in Hatteras. I’ve done more relaxing and eating than anything. But after watching a most gorgeous sunrise with my husband, I finally decided to get the paints out yesterday and do a little something down by the Hatteras Pier:

This pier looks like it needs some serious repair, but the rickety state of it made for fun painting. Now back to doing nothing! :-)

there is a law in N.C. that a fishing pier can not be restored by more than 50% in any one year. wierd law. It is a way to keep any new fishing piers being built along the coast. You picked a great week to vacation on the obx.

Rick,
Yeah, it has been beautiful! Rain is expected from Hannah tomorrow, but considering all, we feel very fortunate. Early September has always been our favorite time to be here in Hatteras.
