Paintings of France and the French Landscape

France is such an amazing country filled with diversity and great beauty. The region of Provence abounds with fields and gardens bursting with fragrance and color. Everywhere you turn, there are hundreds of paintings, waiting to be made! Equally beautiful is the region of Normandy, full of soft rolling hills, willow trees and the biggest roses I've ever seen! I had the great privilege in 2003 to paint in Giverny en plein air. I received special permission to paint in Monet's garden on a day when it is closed to the general public, and the experience is one that I will never forget!
