About the Painting: I painted this scene from a study I did "en plein air" during my travels to Normandy and Provence. During that time, I received special permission to paint in Monet's garden on a day when it was closed to the public. It is an experience I will never forget!! My favorite painting spot was, of course, Monet's beautiful water garden. This is one of several footbridges in the garden, painted in his signature green hue. I hope you enjoy viewing this painting as much as I enjoyed making it!
