I
painted this scene from a study I did "en plein air" during
my travels to Normandy and Provence in the Spring of 2003. During that
time, I received special permission to paint in Monet's garden on a day
when it was closed to the public. It is an experience I will never forget!!
This day gardeners were quietly pruning the lovely flowered walkways surrounding
Claude Monet's house. This is a view of the climibing rose trellis and
the shaded walkway that lead up to the door of his rose colored house.
I hope you enjoy viewing this painting as much as I enjoyed making it!
