Italy is a country that captured my heart from the very first moment I put my foot on its soil. It is filled with gorgeous cities, rolling hills, cypress trees, and terra cotta rooftops. Don't even get me started on the food! I have been to Italy many times and have travelled to many of its beautiful cities. The villages and hill towns are lovely and filled with charm, and I dream of returning again and again with paints and easel in tow.

About the Painting:
Several times I have had the great fortune to travel to Italy, and it has always held a special place in my heart. Pienza is a lovely village located in southern Tuscany. Not only does it have lovely streets like this one, it is also the home of Pecorino cheese! One of the things I love about Italy is the care that the residents take with their gardens. Even if there is no space for a garden, homeowners lovingly tend to their potted plants, which are usually filled with herbs or colorful flowers. Whenever I see potted geraniums, they always remind me of Tuscany. I hope you enjoy viewing this piece as much as I enjoyed painting it!
