I
painted this little scene "en pleinaire" (on location) during
my travels to the Luberon valley in Provence during the Spring of 2003.
There were poppies, vineyards, cherry trees, and wildflowers virtually
everywhere I turned! This scene was painted around 9 a.m along a country
road with a direct view of Lourmarin. I painted the vineyards, cherry
trees beyond, and the walled city. What a dream come true! I recommend
a traditional frame to display this piece.
