"Amongst
the Olive Groves"

I
painted this landscape "en pleinaire" (on location) during my
travels to the Luberon valley in Provence during the Spring of 2003. This
was the view of a lovely little olive grove on the grounds of an old chateau
in the village of Lourmarin. The small building is a farmer's shed called
a "cabanon". These cabaneaux are seen throughout the Provincial
countryside- often a lone building in the middle of an agricultural field.
I hope you enjoy viewing this painting as much as I enjoyed making it!
