Several times I have had the great fortune to travel to Italy, and it has always held a special place in my heart. Lake Como is one of the most idyllic places I have ever visited in Italy. Like a rare gem, it is a true example of pure sparkling, polished beauty. Perhaps nowhere is idyllic as the beautiful Villa del Balbianello, which sits perched atop a hill at the tip of the peninsula of Dosso d’Avedo in the commune of Lenno surrounded fantastical manicured gardens. This is a view from the gardens looking towards Lake Como.
