The gardens and pink house of Claude Monet are every bit as beautiful ( and enviable) as the artist’s iconic paintings. Through the ages, many artists have paid homage to the master impressionist painter by visiting his beautiful home in the Normandy town of Giverny. I was honored to be among such artists, and doubly honored that I was able to paint en plein air in the garden on a day that it was closed to the public. It was an experience that I will never forget. This painting was completed in my studio from studies and photos made on location in this most beautiful and memorable of settings.
