About the painting:
A beautiful light spills across the mountains just before sunset. I was lucky enough to capture it on location at a Crozet, Virginia orchard in full bloom. I loved the entire experience of painting this scene on location and have since painted several variations on this theme. This painting is a studio piece based on photos and memory of that evening.
