About the painting:
This painting was inspired by a plein air painting trip I took to beautiful Ocracoke Island during our annual summer vacation trip to North Carolina's Outer Banks. We experienced some rain during the trip, but the reward was the beautiful sky that followed. Two children play along the shore, trying to stretch the remains of the day to the very last drop of sunlight. .
